With plans to offer tourists the mayor of Olímpia (SP), Geninho Zuliani (União Brasil), signed a decree that allows the study phase and structuring of projects so that the
“Competitive dialogue is a modern planning tool. We are not authorizing casinos or signing contracts. We are preparing for a possible scenario, with responsibility, transparency and legal certainty”, says Geninho Zuliani, former federal deputy.
The decree is a step forward, since Zuliani sanctioned, last year, a law that allows the exploration of games, approved by the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission), as “public services of relevant tourist and social interest”.
Both the law and the decree can only be applied in Olímpia after the approval of the project, which will still be taken to the Senate plenary.
