Carnival has started! Pre-Carnival takes place on the streets of São Paulo this weekend, on the 7th and 8th of February. With blocks of great artists such as Luísa Sonza, Calvin Harris and Ivete Sangalo, the avenues of São Paulo will be filled with countless options for those who want to enjoy themselves.

Surge Mode Block
Bloco Modo Surto is already one of the biggest successes of pre-Carnival in São Paulo. After bringing together more than 120 thousand revelers in 2025 and bringing names like Ana Castela, DENNIS, Emilia Mernes, Nilo, Triz and Bibi Babydoll, it returns even bigger in 2026.
On February 8th, Luísa Sonza commands for the third time the electric trio that has already become one of the most anticipated events of the pre-Carnival in São Paulo, with the confirmed participation of Melody, Gretchen, Zaynara, Pocah, Viviane Batidão, Felipe Amorim, DENNIS, Puterrier and more guests to be announced.
Abrava Block
In 2026, the Block of Abrava, led by Tiago Abravanel, invites everyone to play xepa, a vibrant theme, inspired by the street market, the intense colors of fruits and popular culture that transforms the simple into a spectacle. With the theme “Feira Livre do Abrava”, the block parade February 7th, Saturdayon Av. Faria Lima. The meeting is scheduled for 11am.
Ivete block in SP
For the first time at Street Carnival in SP we will have queen Ivete Sangalo in charge of Bloco Quem Pede, Pede, presenting a repertoire that marks the festivities and is the face of Carnival. The Block is scheduled to parade in Ibirapuera Park, on the 7th, with the gathering starting at 8:00 am and dispersing at 1:00 pm.
Lower Augusta Academics
The Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta parade at Carnival 2026 takes place on February 8th, gathering at 1pm and starting at 2pm, and leaving at the intersection of Rua da Consolação and Avenida Paulista, towards the center.
Calvin Harris block
Calvin Harris will debut at Brazilian Carnival! The “King Midas” of electronic music who left the clubs of Scotland to dominate the planet and transform the global charts with an inexhaustible collection of hits that defined a generation. He lands on the avenue for a historic set, and to prove that our mix has no limits, the line-up summons the suffering of Zé Vaqueiro and the unmistakable energy of commander Xand Avião.
The Block is scheduled to parade in Consolação, on Sunday, with the gathering starting at 11:00 and dispersing at 4:00.
Block 77
The Municipal Department of Culture and Creative Economy promotes rock attractions this Carnival, which brings punk to the Casa de Cultura Butantã and Centro Cultural Tendal da Lapa. On Saturday (7/2), at 3pm, Bloco 77 takes the Bateria Revoltosa rehearsal to Tendal, while Butantã hosts, on Saturday (7/2) and Sunday (8/2), from 3pm, Sugar Kane, Hateen, Meu Funeral, Superheat, Luquita and Noitesó. Both attractions are free and tickets are not required.
Play a Samba Ai Block
On February 7th, the band Inimigos da HP will once again lead Bloco Toca um Samba Aí, in São Paulo. The meeting will be at 1pm, at Avenida Henrique Schaumann, 567.
Lost It Was Everything Block
Bloco Perdi Foi Tudo returns to the streets on February 7th, Saturday, to celebrate a Carnival where diversity is experienced in practice, with music, humor, affection and many different people mixed on the same dance floor. The block, a realization of Diversa Arte e Cultura, is made to occupy the street with lightness, joy and the desire to be together, and is supported by the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry of the State of São Paulo, with management and production by the Associação Paulista dos Amigos da Arte. The gathering takes place from 12pm, with the parade starting at 1pm and ending at 5pm, on Rua Augusta and Rua Matias Aires, bringing together revelers for an afternoon of music and celebration in the heart of the city.
We Travamus Block
This Saturday (7/2), the Penha Cultural Center brings the block “nós Travamus”, starting at 5pm, with marchinhas that were successful in the golden years of Brazilian Carnival, as well as sambas, march-ranch and samba plot.
Gal’s Block
In Vila Itorró, o Block Gal Total brings MPB, from samba to tropicalismo and many works by Gal Gosto with guitar, percussion and saxophone, from 7pm to 8pm on Saturday.
Only those who have problems at home block
On Saturday, the Casa de Cultura Vila Guilherme hosts the “Block Only Those Who Have Problems at Home”, at 4pm, founded by Master Jonas, who participates in the Carnival of São Paulo since childhood, working as a drummer at the Vila Maria and Camisa Verde e Branco samba schools.
Doll Block
Not Sunday, or “Block dos Bonecões” takes place at Casa de Cultura Ipiranga, starting at 12pm, which, since 2020, has participated in carnival by promoting percussion workshops, construction of dolls and costumes, with a repertoire of Brazilian rhythms and original compositions.
Black Block of São Mateus
At 2pm on Sunday, the Casa de Cultura They are Matthew, bring the “Block From the Blacks of They are Mateus”, with its own drums, including the participation of local groups such as the CDC Guarani drums.
Block What Gave
On Sunday, at 2pm, the block from the collective “Qué Que Deu”, made up of women, arrives at Casa de Cultura do Ipiranga with Brazilian and Latin American rhythms, such as maracatu, coco, frevo, baião and funk, combining percussion, singing and winds with original repertoire and traditional songs.
Kara Loko Family Block
At 3pm, on Sunday, at Casa de Cultura Vila Guilherme the “Block Kara Loko Family”, founded by sons and nephews who were former members of the former Block União da Alegria, from the 1970s, in Vila Maria Alta.
