O Palmeiras beat Corinthians at Neo Química Arena 1-0, with a goal from Flaco Lópezin a game valid for the penultimate round of the first phase of Paulistão, this Sunday (9).
Missed penalty
In the 34th minute of the first half, the referee awarded a penalty to Corinthians after goalkeeper Carlos Miguel, when going out to hit an aerial ball from a corner, bounced off the head of Corinthians defender Gustavo Henrique.
. However, when performing the kick, the Dutch striker slipped and sent the ball out to the left of the goal.

At 38 minutes into the second half, Rodrigo Garro lost the ball in midfield and Maurício, leading the counterattack, shot from outside the area against Hugo Souza’s goal.
The Corinthians goalkeeper saved — but rebounded the ball, which was left for Flaco López to convert in the small area, making it 1-0 for Palmeiras.

Corinthians returns to the field against Red Bull Bragantino, at home, in a game valid for the Brazilian Championship. The match will take place on Thursday (12), at 8pm.
Palmeiras will face Internacional, in Porto Alegre, also in the Brasileirão and on the same Thursday, at 9:30 pm.
In the last round of Paulistão, Corinthians faces São Bernardo as a visitor and Palmeiras, Guarani, as home team — but playing at Arena Barueri. Both matches — as well as the others in the round — will take place at the same time: Sunday (15), at 8:30 pm.
Palmeiras goes to the last round already classified. Corinthians, on the other hand, arrives at the game against São Bernardo in the classification zone, but without a guaranteed passport to the quarterfinals.
