The rain intensifies again in the late afternoon today and will continue throughout the day tomorrow. An improvement in the weather is expected on Saturday, reveals the IPMA.
O(IPMA) warns that rain and sometimes strong wind are expected this afternoon, especially in the Center and South, due to which will not directly affect mainland Portugal.
According to IPMA, the wind will sometimes blow strong, in the highlands and in the range western coast south of Cape Carvoeiro, com gusts up to 70 km/h at the end of the day.
As for the sea unrest, it “remains strong on the western coast”, with waves from the northwest being expected to be 4 to 5 meters high, reaching a maximum height of 6 meters north of Cabo Mondego.
Mainland Portugal was hit on January 27th by followed by Leonardo and Marta, which caused 15 deaths and hundreds of injuries and displacement.
