The National Commander warned of the possibility of heavy precipitation during the end of today and Friday in the areas of Lisbon, the West, and the Setúbal peninsula, with a risk of rapid flooding.

So far, according to the National Commander of (ANEPC), are activated 12 plans at district level and 124 municipal onesbeing declared alert situations in 15 municipalities.

The special plan for floods in the Tagus basin remains at the highest level, red. Between February 1st and 12:00, Civil Protection recorded 16,270 occurrences related to storms, com 55,719 operational and 22,701 means of assistance.

At the balance sheet press conference, which took place late this morning, the National Commander of Civil Protection explained that the Last night was a “wake up call”warning that the “safe behavior is the key to overcoming these episodes without major problems”.
