“Hail General: Brotherhood”the first Brazilian spin-off and Netflix original, derived from the series “Brotherhood”premieres on streaming this Wednesday (11). The film tells the story of Cristina and Elisaaunt and niece involved with a criminal organization in São Paulo in the 1990s.
In conversation with CNN Brazil(Cristina and Elisa, respectively) talked about returning to the original plot of the 2019 series to create the film.
Naruna, who lived with Cristina seven years ago, says that she had to go back to her old notes: “I had to get the , of what we built a few years ago, to be able to bring her [a personagem] now”, he begins.
“I went back to the series, I went to watch it again, I went to get my old notes, my references for the construction of it back then, to continue telling this story”, he adds. Furthermore, the actress reveals that she had more technical studies to play the older character.
Camilla, who , also needed to revisit the series. Furthermore, the actress says that she was inspired by her co-stars: “The character of Naruna, Cris, Edson himself, Jorge, and that entire universe were… it was crucial for the construction of Elisa, because she is part of it”. Both recognized each other’s importance for this adult construction of the characters.

In the plot, the members of the Brotherhood face a critical moment when the transfer of key leaders to maximum security prisons threatens the group’s balance.
Elisa, daughter of Edson, founder of the Brotherhood, is an 18-year-old girl raised on the edge of crime and kidnapped by corrupt police officers. While her aunt Cristina (Naruna Costa) tries to rescue her, the faction orders the Salve Geral, a series of violent attacks against police stations and security forces, which plunges the city of São Paulo into chaos.
Amid this scenario, Elisa and Cristina face dilemmas about justice and violence, in a story that challenges the choices and legacies that shape their lives.
