“I wish I had the keys”: Marco Paulo’s heir wants to go on vacation at the artist’s houses in Sesimbra and the Algarve but has not yet been able to do so

Marco Paulo’s inheritance continues to generate tension between those involved and one of the heirs, Eduardo Ferreira, wants to have access to the singer’s homes in Sesimbra and the Algarve, despite the sharing process not yet being completed. The Braga firefighter, to whom the artist donated 10% of his assets, states that he intends to use the properties and admits going to court to guarantee this right.

According to Correio da Manhã, Eduardo Ferreira argues that, as an heir, he should be able to use the properties just like the other beneficiaries. “I am also an heir, so I have the right to spend holidays in the houses, just like others”, he stated.

According to the same source, the firefighter revealed that, in a meeting held in July, he clearly expressed this intention. “In the meeting we had, I said I wanted to have the keys to go there and Toni said she would give it to me,” he told Nova Gente magazine.

Interrupted conversations

Since that meeting, however, there have been no new developments. The newspaper writes that Eduardo Ferreira guarantees that he was waiting for a formal proposal regarding the inheritance, but that it never arrived.

“They were the ones who had to present me with a reliable proposal, because what they proposed at that meeting was ridiculous. However, they didn’t tell me anything else, so I’m not going to humiliate myself, I’m not going to be the one looking for them”, he stated, according to the same source.

Judicial route on the table

Given the lack of answers, the heir admits moving forward through legal means. The publication adds that Eduardo Ferreira has already contacted his lawyer to resolve the situation related to access to the houses.

“As for the keys, I’m going to talk to my lawyer to talk to them. I want to go see the houses soon. If Marco wanted me to keep the things, it’s normal for me to want to know about them”, he declared, quoted by Correio da Manhã.

Questions about valuable assets

The firefighter also raised questions about the whereabouts of some assets that, according to him, were part of the singer’s assets. To the same newspaper, he asked: “Where is the gold that I know Marco had? And where is the sacred art that he kept and which is worth a lot of money? Everything is gone?!”.

The same source mentions that these doubts arise in a context in which the definitive distribution of the inheritance has not yet been finalized, with several aspects related to the assets remaining undefined.

Royalties and expenses

Meanwhile, Eduardo Ferreira has already received amounts relating to the artist’s related rights for 2023. However, he says that the amounts will not have been sufficient to cover the charges assumed in the meantime.

“I have already spent over 20,000 euros, on Stamp Tax, lawyers, trips to Lisbon and on documents that I had to request. What I have already received was not enough to cover expenses”, he stated, once again emphasizing that the sharing process remains open.
