A Ukrainian airstrike caused a fire at an oil terminal in Russia, Moscow was attacking Zaporozhye

Russia’s Black Sea coast and Ukrainian cities experienced one of the most intense waves of drone attacks in recent memory on Sunday night. Ukrainian forces hit a strategic oil terminal on the Taman Peninsula, where a large storage tank fire broke out after an explosion.

Russia says Ukraine carried out drone strikes on Russia’s Black Sea coast overnight Sunday, causing an oil storage tank to catch fire. Krasnodar Region Governor Venjamin Kondratiev said on Telegram that it was a “massive attack” that lasted all night, TASR reports, according to a report by DPA.

A tank with oil products was hit in the port for the transportation of raw materials on the Taman Peninsula. The terminal has been the target of Ukrainian attacks several times. Kondratiev also mentioned minor damage near the cities of Anapa and Sochi. Two people were reportedly injured.

Russia was attacking Zaporozhye

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Sunday that 68 Ukrainian drones were shot down over various areas in southern Russia.

Russia also attacked the territory of Ukraine with drones again, writes DPA. Three people were injured in the city of Zaporozhye, local authorities said.

Russian troops sent a total of 83 drones to Ukraine, of which air defense managed to shoot down or destroy 55 of them.
