After 8/1, Bolsonaro deputy sends amendment to prison – 02/15/2026 – Panel

After visiting them, the state deputy allocated R$500,000 in amendments for improvements in the north zone of the capital.

Gil visited six prisons across the state to visit and investigate the conditions of those convicted of the coup acts.

To the Panel, the parliamentarian says that he was touched by the precarious infrastructure of prisons and the conditions to which inmates are subjected. He cited the fact that the prisoner could only keep her child until he was six months old and breastfeed him in foul-smelling and dirty cells, in addition to the fact that there were shameful searches for mothers.

“That’s what he’s doing, making a Bolsonaro supporter send money to prisons,” joked the deputy, who added the name Bolsonaro to his parliamentary name.

“These are situations that I started to see and feel how these people suffer in a prison. Many are there without receiving visitors, sleeping on the floor”, continued Gil, who requested a meeting with the Secretary of State for Penitentiary Administration (SAP), Marcello Streifinger, for this week.

In the Santana unit, among those accused of the attacks, was sentenced to 14 years in prison and had her house arrest revoked, in July 2025, by Moraes. Iraci allegedly failed to comply with the rules for using electronic ankle bracelets while under house arrest.
