When and what does spring actually start in nature? It’s not a date on the calendar, not even the first green leaves. Everything has its hidden prelude in the inconspicuous awakening of the buds, which concentrate incredible life force. If you would like to use it a little for yourself, go out into nature without fear.
Buds, that is, inconspicuous, small and often overlooked temporary parts of trees and shrubs, represent a real spring treasure for human health. Our ancestors already knew this and we should start returning to their wisdom. It is precisely the buds that they contain the most important substances for the future further life of the treesuch as plant hormones, enzymes, trace elements and vitamins – in such a concentration that we have no chance of finding them in other parts of the tree.
Kateřina Dominová – herbal guide, author of the following YouTube video, also talks about the power of gemmotherapy:
How do I gemmotherapy?
This more than interesting method using the power of germinal tissues is called gemmotherapy. If you would like to search for the origin of this word, then it is composed of the Latin part gemma (i.e. bud – or gem) and the well-known therapy. Nothing complicated… Its principle is based on the use of young tissues of the plant, where constant and rapid cell division is still taking place. For the human body, these literally mean an injection of vitality that can stimulate the immune system and support the regeneration of organs. So it would be a shame not to use such an offered gift of nature, because gemmotherapy not only offers us a path to stronger health, but also an opportunity for a deeper connection with the rhythm of nature.
Prepare the tincture
How to do it? Buds can be processed, for example – and most often – into a tincture, where the freshly collected material is added to a mixture of alcohol and glycerin. So the procedure is not complicated at all: prepare a solution of mild alcohol and in a 1:1 ratio in such an amount that you can add buds to it in a ratio of 1:10 (i.e. 1 liter of solution per 100 grams of buds). Leave everything to infuse at room temperature but out of direct sunlight for three weeks. Then filter the result and carefully squeeze the buds themselves.
Dilute – and it will be done
Once your infusion is done, dilute it with a solution of the same composition in a ratio of 1:9when the pure solution will prevail. Thus, the effect of the tincture for the human organism will be the greatest, we will use its potential, but not oversupply the body. For these purposes, always use only high-quality, pure food-grade glycerin from the pharmacy and equally high-quality high-percentage alcohol. The water contained in the plant and in the alcohol will naturally adjust the concentration to a safe limit.
In short, birch is the basis
If we decide to try the power of buds for ourselves, we should remember which species to reach for. The absolute foundation and queen among them all is the seemingly ordinary . Its buds have an incredible ability to rid the body of toxic substances and support liver function. This is the best start for any spring cleansing treatment.
Gets on your nerves
Another important ally in the fight for better health is the hearty linden. While we know its flower as a remedy for colds, the buds have a much deeper effect – on the nervous system. They help with anxiety and insomnia, but also with greater psychological exhaustion, which can trouble us after a long winter and lack of sunshine.
Magic blackcurrant
For those of us who want to boost the body’s defenses, blackcurrant is an excellent choice. Tincture from its buds has strong anti-inflammatory effectswhich in their strength even resemble the action of corticoids. In this case, however, it is a product without any side effects. In addition, black currant also helps with problems with allergies, eczema and respiratory problems.
The pine will surprise you with its strength
If someone is suffering from joint pain or muscle fatigue, they should find the nearest pine or dead ash. Pine helps with the restoration of bone tissue and ash enhances uric acid flushingthereby relieving gout and rheumatism. These trees store within themselves the power of strength and flexibility, which they pass on through the already mentioned germ cells.
