Lindsey Vonn shared new images of her recovery after the fall she suffered at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The American skier has been hospitalized for about a week and has already undergone several surgeries as a result of the injury.
In a video published on social media, it is possible to see the former Olympic champion needing help with basic daily tasks, such as eating or washing her hair, revealing the physical and emotional dimension of the recovery process.
In the caption of the publication, Vonn left a message of thanks: “I am grateful to my friends, family, team and all the medical staff who are helping me recover. I am slowly returning to life, to the essentials and to the simple things that matter most: smiling, laughing and loving. My sister made this video and it filled my heart.”
It is worth remembering that Lindsey Vonn was already competing conditioned by a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, having suffered a violent fall that forced her to be removed by stretcher and helicopter, in one of the most memorable moments of the Winter Games.
