Hours after the attack, the suspect published a farewell message on his WhatsApp status. In the text, he claims to be living “the worst day” of his life and says he made a mistake, adding that he doesn’t know if he will be seen again. The publication caught the attention of family and acquaintances and began to circulate on social media.

Ocileide was rescued and taken to the hospital, where she received medical care. Despite the severity of the injuries caused by the multiple punctures, she survived and remains in recovery.
The case is treated as an attempted feminicide and mobilizes security forces, who carry out searches to locate the suspect. Information that could help in the capture can be passed on anonymously to the authorities.
