A couple, aged 44 and 46, were arrested by the Civil Police, this Thursday (19), in Suzano, a municipality in Greater São Paulo, for selling counterfeit medicines aimed at weight loss, in a clandestine factory.

The investigation began when a company in Goiás reported to the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) that it was receiving complaints about a product that it does not produce. Thus, criminals would be using the company’s name to sell products on the internet.
