Brazilian bobsled reached a historic milestone at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. He secured 19th place and reached a time of 55.30 in the fourth round. He finished the race with a time of 3:41.14. The mark surpasses the previous result, from the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, held in 2022, when the country came in 20th position. “This competition was sensational. Here are the best in the world. Getting here and achieving the best result in the history of bobsled for Brazil is a huge achievement”, said Edson Bindilatti, who competed in his sixth Olympics and said goodbye to the games.

“I just have to thank these guys, all the athletes who came through here, everyone was part of having a historic result now at the Olympics”, he added.

The podium had a German double. Johannes Lochner repeated the 2-man result and also secured gold driving the sled for four athletes. His compatriot Francesco Friedrich took silver and Michael Vogt led Switzerland to bronze.
