Zema releases video criticizing the STF and calling for action – 02/22/2026 – Panel

The governor of Minas Gerais, (Novo), released a video criticizing STF ministers Dias Toffoli and Alexandre de Moraes, involved in the Master case, and promising to put an end to what he calls the “untouchables spree”.

“Toffoli has already gotten out of the way. But how is anyone going to judge a bank of which he himself was a partner? And how does a minister who has always lived on a public salary find money to be a partner in a luxury resort? The math doesn’t add up”, says Zema in the video, produced by his pre-campaign marketer, Renato Pereira.

He also mentions Moraes, who he calls “an authority with a contract worth R$129 million”, in reference to the amount agreed for the legal services of his wife, Viviane Barci, for Banco Master.

The governor of Minas also mentions the tribulations paid to the Judiciary and says that Brazil is taken over by those who “live above the law, above me and you”. Raising the tone, Zema says that in Brazil “there’s no shortage of money, there’s plenty of thieves.”

He also mentions Lava Jato as a first attempt to confront “the untouchables”, and regrets the fact that the operation was dismantled by the courts. “The time has come for those who steal from Brazil to lose”, he concludes.
