The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmerstated that British planes are “in the sky” over the Middle East to participate in coordinated defensive efforts aimed at protecting the interests of the country and its allies.
In a televised address this Saturday (28), Starmer emphasized that Britain “played no role” in the joint US-Israeli attacks against Iran, but added that his country’s forces were active in the region.
“There are British planes in the sky today as part of coordinated regional defensive operations to protect our people, our interests and our allies,” Starmer said.
He called on Iran to refrain from further attacks in the Middle East, abandon its weapons program and end “terrible violence and repression against the Iranian people.”
