Eduardo Madeira publicly denounced the bullying experienced by his eldest daughter, Leonor, aged 12, in an emotional statement shared on social media. The comedian revealed that the situation was so serious that it forced the young woman to change schools, in an attempt to stop a cycle of persecution and exclusion that was deeply affecting her emotional well-being.
In a video released by Eduardo Madeira, Leonor reports, in first person, how it all started after the entry of a new colleague into the group of friends. As he explains, this change led to the breakdown of the relationships he had and the beginning of a process of social isolation. The young woman describes feelings of rejection, sadness and insecurity, at a stage of life in which the need for belonging and integration is particularly strong.
Leonor says that she began to feel constant anxiety, especially in contexts such as group work, where she believed that no one would want her around. The situation directly affected her self-esteem and the way she began to see herself, leading her family to make the difficult decision to remove her from the school where everything was happening.
Despite the change, Eduardo Madeira denounces that the problem is not over. According to the comedian, his daughter continues to be the target of stalking behavior, offensive messages and persistent harassment, which he describes as a truly disturbing “stalking”. In her message, she highlights that it was Leonor who had to change her routines, habits and school environment, while those responsible for the behaviors continue to bother her.
Even so, the father ends with a message of strength and resistance, assuring that his daughter is now happier and that the family will not give up. The publication has generated a wave of solidarity on social media and has once again brought into public debate the reality of school bullying and its profound psychological consequences.
