Trump suffers legal setback in dispute over customs refunds

Wilmington – US President Donald Trump has suffered a legal defeat in the dispute over the refund of tariffs. A U.S. federal appeals court on Monday rejected the government’s request to delay the trial for up to four months. Instead, the judges referred the case back to the relevant lower court, the US Court of International Trade. This could now clarify whether and how importers will receive more than 130 billion dollars back. The companies had urged that the process to repay the funds be initiated immediately.
