The prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the SR Michal Šúrek and three other persons were released from detention. This was confirmed for TASR by their legal representative Ján Dulovič. They were arrested and charged as part of the Tuesday (March 3) action of the police inspectorate called Kajúcnik.
In addition to Michal Šúrek, the Police Inspectorate also released police officers Branislav D., Róbert M. and Roman S. Police officers Ján Č. and Pavol Ď. they remain detained for now. However, according to Dulovič, there is no information yet about a possible proposal for their custodial prosecution.
ÚIS within the framework of Tuesday’s action detained a accused four current and two former police officers and one civilian. It’s about accusation of blackmail or abuse of authority of a public official, which they were supposed to commit in an organized manner.
In addition to the accused, the police inspectorate also detained two suspects. Investigator Alžbeta F. was dismissed released without charge on Wednesday. The action took place in the Bratislava, Nitra and Banskobystrické regions.
