CaixaBank reestablishes its online banking services after a technical incident | Companies

The operations stopped working this Thursday at noon. Bank customers who have tried to access digital services received an error message stating that the application (and its web variant) “is not available.” The entity confirmed in the afternoon that the “technical incident” has been resolved and that it has no more computer problems.

According to comments on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the entity’s clients have been experiencing errors since midday. Data from Downdetector, a platform that compiles user reports on the internet, indicate that the problems intensified after 1:30 p.m. Spanish peninsular time.

The official profile of the bank in X confirmed three hours later that these problems were not isolated cases, but rather a generalized incident. “We have detected an incident in the app and online banking and we are working to resolve it. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused,” highlight the messages published by the entity in response to the complaints.

Last July, it affected the entity’s clients for more than two hours, although the bank indicated that it was a “slowdown” and not a system crash.
