Diogo Amaral continues to have difficulty returning to Portugal. After a few days of vacation in India, the actor had his flight canceled due to the constraints caused by the war between Iran and the United States and was stranded in that country for a few days.
On the morning of Thursday, March 5th, the actor gave “news”, as we said, and hours later his partner, Jessica Athayde, decided to speak out on social media.
“I would like to thank all my friends and also so many people I don’t even know for their messages, affection and concern. There were even people who offered to come and cook or send me food, which says a lot about how much everyone knows that cooking is not exactly my strong point”he started by writing, as a joke.
In a more serious tone, Jessica Athayde opened up about the complicated situation experienced by Diogo Amaral, highlighting her “concern”: “Diogo is still in prison and we are managing our days here. There are situations that we simply cannot control and, as much as we try to maintain a sense of humor and a positive attitude, it is still worrying. Of course, there are always people in much worse situations and I think about that a lot, but that does not invalidate what we feel and the concern of those who are far from home and cannot get back“, he admitted.
In the end, and after thanking all the fans, friends and even the brands who made themselves available to help and support, Jessica Athayde ended with a ‘message’ for her husband: “Now I’m going to continue keeping the kitchen clean and tidy so that later, when Diogo arrives, I won’t set foot there again. Send me off so you continue to irritate me ❤️”he wrote.
