German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius warned on Friday that despite the conflict in the Middle East, Ukraine’s air defense supply needs should not be neglected. TASR informs about it according to a Reuters report.
„Everyone knows that air defense and air defense missiles are a globally rare commodity. The ongoing war in the Middle East must not distract from the war in Europe, the war (which Russia is waging) against Ukraine,” Pistorius told reporters in Berlin “We must continue to do everything in our power to support Ukraine, while we will not leave the Persian Gulf countries and maybe even help them here and there with equipment or logistics,” clarified the head of the department.
Pistorius declared on Wednesday that “American and Israeli friends” need to be repeatedly reminded that military force alone will not solve conflicts. “History teaches us that starting a war is much easier than ending it. This means that a solid strategy for ending the war must be prepared. I don’t see any at the moment,” said the German minister.
The US and Israel claim that they attacked Iran “preemptively” in order to prevent the regime there from acquiring a nuclear weapon. However, Tehran repeatedly rejects such an effort and in response undertakes retaliatory attacks on Israel and other states in the Middle East.
