Initially, the PF of Minas reported that Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão had died on Wednesday (4); later, the defense stated, on Thursday (5), that he was still alive, in serious condition
Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão’s defense declared late Friday night (6) that he died. The death was confirmed in a note sent by lawyer Robson Lucaswhich has been following Mourão’s case since he was arrested on Wednesday (4).
“We inform that the clinical condition of Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão resulted in death, which was legally declared at 6:55 pm, after the end of the brain death protocol that began today, 03/06/26, at around 10:15 am. The body will be sent to the Legal Medical Institute, following the legal protocol”, said the lawyer.
Members of the Minas PF even reported that Mourão had died on Wednesday (4), the day he attempted to kill himself after being arrested. Afterwards, a national note from the corporation reported that there was no confirmation of death. Last Thursday, Mourão’s defense says that he was alive and that his condition was serious, but without brain death protocol.
According to the corporation, ‘Sicário’ was found unconscious in the cell where he was held at the PF Regional Superintendence in the State.
Mourão would have hanged himself using his own t-shirt. He was initially resuscitated for around 30 minutes by the PF Ready Intervention Group in Minas Gerais (GPI) and then taken to Hospital João XXIII by the Samu team.
Known as “Sicário”, Mourão is identified in investigations as being responsible for obtaining confidential information, monitoring opponents and neutralizing situations considered sensitive to the interests of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master.
