Ten districts under yellow warning due to snowfall

Warning extends until 9pm this Monday for Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga. IPMA also issued a yellow warning due to maritime unrest.

Ten districts on the continent are under yellow warning this Monday due to the forecast of snowfall, according to IPMA.

The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under yellow warning due to snowfall between 09:00 and 21:00 this Monday.

With the same warning and also due to the snow, the districts of Guard e White Castlebetween 09:00 this Monday and 03:00 Tuesday.

Yellow warning due to sea disturbances

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere ( also issued a yellow warning due to sea ​​unrest for the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra, Lisbon, Leiria and Setúbal from 9pm from Monday to Tuesday.

Faro e Beja will also be under yellow warning due to sea unrest, but between 3am and 3pm on Tuesday, with northwest waves of 4 to 4.5 meters forecast.

The yellow warning is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.

IPMA predicts for this Monday on the continent, very cloudy sky, rainy periodsturning into showers, especially in the north and center, snowfall, ice formation, drop in maximum temperature and strong sea agitation north of Cape Espichel.

Minimum temperatures will range between -2 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 09 (in Faro) and maximum temperatures between 05 (in Guarda) and 17 (in Faro).
