Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) and former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) exchanged attacks in posts on social media on the afternoon of this Monday, 9th.
The divergence has as its backdrop the request to create a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes and Dias Toffoli, authored by Vieira.
The senator was attacked by supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for having created the fake news bill. He refuted the accusations, remembering that he was the author of the Lava Toga CPI and the request for impeachment of Moraes and Toffoli for the fake news investigation. Vieira also mentioned that Eduardo and his brother, senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), resisted the opening of this impeachment process.
“At both times, the greatest resistance came from his brothers Flávio and Eduardo, probably concerned with the split process and not with Brazil. We all know what the result of this agreement was,” said Vieira in a publication on X.
Eduardo responded and said that Vieira is a “very dangerous senator”. “You wash your mouth before talking about an exile colluding with Alexandre de Moraes,” he stated.
Vieira made a rejoinder to Eduardo. “Man, go surf, enjoy Mickey or something. Leave those who are working alone. You did this same thing in 2019 and everyone knows the result. Your brother has already signed the CPI, it was signature 29, we are already at 35. You’ve already disturbed Brazil too much, it’s time to rest”, he stated.

As shown by the Estadãounlike what he did seven years ago, this time Flávio, who had previously worked to block the CPI from Lava Toga, signed a request to create a commission to investigate STF ministers Alexandre de Moraes and Dias Toffoli. Flávio signed the document after the CPI obtained the minimum number of 27 signatures for the protocol – this request was authored by Vieira.
Messages obtained from banker Daniel Vorcaro’s cell phone show that he had conversations with Moraes. THE Estadão showed the connection of a business owned by Dias Toffoli’s relatives with resources linked to Vorcaro’s Master.
Data extracted from Vorcaro’s cell phone reveals that he reported to Moraes about the bank’s sale negotiations and suggests dialogues regarding the confidential investigation that was being processed in the Federal Court of Brasília.
Other messages show that Vorcaro consulted Moraes about the guest list for a legal forum held in London, in April 2024. The magistrate ordered that businessman Joesley Batista, from J&F, be “blocked” from the event, and Vorcaro took the topic to the organization of the forum.
