Eisenstadt – The state of Burgenland has been funding the construction and repair of nests for the white stork since 2019. This year, a total of 10,000 euros are available for this, with up to 1,500 euros being funded per location. Private individuals, associations and communities are supported. The stork population is developing positively, said Deputy Governor Anja Haider-Wallner (Greens) in a broadcast on Tuesday.
