Government publishes new table of average fuel prices

New values ​​for CNG, hydrated ethanol and others come into force from March 16, 2026

The (National Council for Financial Policy) released this Tuesday (10 March 2026) the new values ​​of the PMPF (Weighted Average Price for the Final Consumer) of fuels for States and the Federal District.

The prices will come into force from March 16th and serve as a basis for calculating ICMS (Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services). Read the (PDF – 336 KB) published in the (Official Gazette of the Union).

The table presents prices for the following fuels:

  • QAV (aviation kerosene);
  • AEHC (hydrated ethyl alcohol fuel or hydrated ethanol);
  • CNG (vehicle natural gas);
  • GNI (industrial natural gas);
  • fuel oil.

Of the 10 states whose data was reported, Roraima has the highest price for QAV, with a value of R$6.99 per liter. Rio de Janeiro has the lowest price for this fuel, set at R$2.44.

For AEHC, Amapá has the highest price, reaching R$5.89 per liter, while Paraná offers the lowest price (R$4.30/liter).

The Federal District has the most expensive CNG in the country, with a price of R$6.78 per m³. Amazonas has the lowest price for this fuel, at R$3.13 per m³. Only 2 states present values ​​for GNI in the table: Amazonas (R$ 1.82/m³) and Mato Grosso (R$ 3.67/m³).

Fuel oil costs R$4.93 per liter in Paraíba and R$4.08 per liter in Rondônia.
