Forbes releases new ranking of the richest in the world; see top 10

Forbes published this Tuesday (10) the 2026 edition of the ranking of the richest people on the planet, recording a record 3,428 businesspeople.

The group, which gained 400 new members compared to the previous year, has a historical net worth of US$20.1 trillion.

The United States easily leads the concentration of wealth, home to 989 names on the list, followed by China (610) and India (229).

Elon Musk remains at the top with a fortune of US$839 billion, driven by his technology companies.

The survey, based on data from March 1st, highlights the dominance of the technology sector, which occupies eight of the top ten positions.

Among the veterans, Warren Buffett and Amancio Ortega complete the group of the ten largest assets, representing the finance and retail sectors.
