Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) criticized, on Tuesday (10), the absence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) at the inauguration ceremony of the new president of Chile, José Antonio Kast. In an interview with the Chilean outlet 24 Horas, from the Chilean public broadcaster Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN), the parliamentarian stated that Lula “does not respect anyone who thinks differently and, all the time, speaks with a lot of hatred and resentment in his heart.”
Pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, around 150 km from the capital Santiago, to accompany Kast’s inauguration in the Chilean Congress. Asked about the news that his presence at the event had motivated Lula’s decision to send the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, as his representative at the ceremony, the senator stated that “it is very sad to see the president of Brazil himself not thinking about the Brazilian people, because Chile is an important trading partner.”
However, as was determined by the CNN, which intends to move forward today (11) in an attempt to unlock the agenda with the National Congress.
To the Chilean outlet, Flávio stated that he supported Kast’s election and praised the right-wing leader. “A person with a conservative profile, a great defender of life, of the family, someone who thinks like us, that it is important to strengthen laws to provide more security for our people.”
