In general, this happens when the diet before bed is heavy or poorly chewed. When lying down, the food returns to the mouth and goes to the lungs through the trachea. And the patient feels short of breath, coughing and extremely tired.
Bolsonaro has gastroparesis due to several surgeries in the intestinal region, which have occurred since the knife attack in 2018.
The former president did not have a fever. Treatment for now is with antibiotics.
