Moraes should be removed during investigations into Master, says Viana

President of the INSS CPI says he had access to the former banker’s cell phone data and identified that a message about blocking operations was sent to the Supreme Court’s number

O senator (Podemos-MG), president of the CPMI of the INSS, said this Monday (16 March 2026) that Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) should be removed from office until investigations into Daniel Vorcaro’s relations with members of the Court are concluded.

“In any serious country in the world, Moraes would be removed from office until the investigation is completed. He should be out of office so that the investigation is as impartial as possible.”said Viana in an interview with the program Roda Vivayes TV Cultura.

The senator’s speech was in reference to the supposed conversation between Moraes and Vorcaro. According to journalist Malu Gaspar, the former banker and the minister exchanged messages during the day he was arrested for the first time by the Federal Police, on November 17, 2025. The arrest took place at night, when the then banker was trying to leave Brazil. According to the report, the businessman asked if the magistrate had any news and if he had managed to “block”. Moraes spoke with the founder of Master.

The president of the INSS CPI said that the collegiate had access to Vorcaro’s cell phone data and confirmed that the number to which the now former banker sent a message was from a functional STF device. The senator went so far as to say that the device belonged to Moraes, but then went on to say that it belonged to the Supreme Court.

Viana said he personally checked the information and will send a letter to the Court to question who had the device on the day there was the supposed communication between Moraes and the founder of Master.
