Walter Bär, sports director of the swimming association, died completely unexpectedly

Vienna – Walter Bär, the sports director of the Austrian Swimming Association (OSV), died completely unexpectedly on Tuesday morning at the age of 56. The cause was apparently sudden health problems. The Viennese, who comes from Mödling and was an active swimmer himself and a coach for 25 years, has held the position of sports director in the swimming association since September 2018 and has been jointly responsible for many great successes in recent years. As a hub between the disciplines of pool swimming, open water, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo, Bär was the link between the active participants and the association leadership.
