The behavior of the river in Rio Branco once again worried authorities and residents of riverside areas. After registering a trademark 10,20 metros on Wednesday morning (18), the water source showed a sharp rise in less than 24 hours. In the measurement carried out at 5:29 am this Thursday (19), the level jumped to 11,10 metrosrepresenting a rise of 90 centimeters.
While on Wednesday the accumulated figure was 40.80mm, the last 24 hours recorded 26,60mm of precipitation in the capital. The elevation, therefore, also reflects the flow of water from the headwaters and neighboring municipalities.

Currently, the Acre River still remains below critical limits, but the speed of the rise has triggered the yellow signal for monitoring. THE Alert Level in Rio Branco is established in 13,50 metroswhile the Transshipment Level point at which waters begin to reach the first residences in low-lying areas is 14,00 metros.
