The iconic dance show returned to TV Markíza in a special 11th series. The new season of Let’s Dance: The Best of the Best started on Sunday, March 8. Prominent personalities from previous years presented themselves on the floor: Ján Koleník, Jakub Jablonský, Kristián Baran, Vladimír Kobielsky, Juraj Mokrý, Nela Pocisková, Gabika Marcinková, Petra Polnišová, Zuzana Porubjaková and Jana Hospodárová.
Zuzana Porubjaková came to the dance floor after a short break, as she took second place with dancer Jaroslav Ihring in the 10th anniversary year. He is her dance partner now Matyáš Adamecwho danced in the show with Petra Dubayová, Gabika Marcinková and Eva Burešová. Their first dance was an energetic jive. Actress Porubjaková spoke for with musician Teri Čikoš at the end of the first evening.
The artist revealed what it looks like behind the scenes of the show. Do they feel competition with each other? “I don’t think so. Because by the fact that we are actors and that we are colleagues, that we know each other, everyone has already experienced it, so we… it’s terribly pleasant there, really. I really feel like we know it’s a show and it’s not about who wins or a competition, everyone respects each other’s work because we see the numbers and we see how high quality they are and how extremely high quality everyone is and what work they’ve done. So it’s very nice,” said Porubjaková.
Does he enjoy it more now with colleagues by his side? “Normally I would compare it, it’s like having a second child. That the first is such a shock and one cannot enjoy it that much, and the second one already knows a little, but even so it is always different. Because we have changed partners, there is a different crew. But basically it’s an advantage in some way, because one knows, but it’s still not transferable, because it’s different,” thinks the star of the dance show Markízy.
“One already knows a little bit what to expect and maybe there is a little less fear, but still it is a huge responsibility and maybe it is about something that a person has to prove something again and you already said that you have already given it once and now you have to go through the whole colossus all over again,” added the popular actress.
