The town of Alcoutim will once again host the Feira dos Doces d’Avó on the 3rd and 4th of April, from 2pm, on the pier, in an initiative that marks the Easter season with gastronomic and cultural proposals.
According to the Municipality of Alcoutim, the event “promises to sweeten the Easter season and provide moments of conviviality and entertainment for children and adults”, bringing together visitors and local producers in a festive atmosphere.
Featured traditional sweets
The fair’s main attraction is traditional sweets and typical products from the Algarve mountains, with the presence of producers who preserve ancestral recipes and knowledge.
According to the municipality, the initiative brings together local agents who “keep the tradition of regional sweets alive”, promoting the appreciation of endogenous products.
Program includes workshops and animation
Over the two days, the event presents a diverse program, with activities aimed at different audiences.
Initiatives such as workshops for all ages, street entertainment, magic shows and showcooking sessions are planned, reinforcing the family nature of the event.
One of the highlights of the program will take place on Friday, April 3, at 9:30 pm, with the traditional Baile da Pinha.
The organization highlights this moment as one of the most anticipated, contributing to “reinforce the festive atmosphere of the event”.
