Maria da Graça Carvalho guarantees that the executive is “analyzing and quantifying” different support measures
The Government is analyzing measures to mitigate the rise in energy prices, with Portugal being “close to the criteria” to declare an energy crisis, the Environment Minister said today.
“We are getting close to the criteria in which we can declare an energy crisis,” said Maria da Graça Carvalho in statements to journalists in Lisbon, noting that the executive is “analyzing and quantifying” different support measures.
According to the minister, these decisions are being prepared together with several ministries, with the aim of “protecting families, consumers and also companies”.
