WASHINGTON, March 20 (Reuters) – The United States military is sending thousands of additional Marines and sailors to the Middle East, three U.S. officials told Reuters on Friday.
One of the officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that the aircraft carrier USS Boxer, along with the Marie Expeditionary Unit on board, departed the West Coast of the United States about three weeks ahead of schedule.
