According to what was stated by the local media, the 59th Independent Assault Brigade managing to shoot down a Ka-52 model helicopter using an unmanned aerial vehicle.

Ukrainian forces confirmed the attack

USF Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi confirmed the success of the operation via Telegram. “The enemy Ka-52 aircraft and its crew, who tried to evacuate, were eliminated by the USF Birds in the Donetsk region“, he publishes. And I even attached videos of the attack.

The military unit itself, through the same social network, confirmed what happened. “ This time a Ka-52. This is no longer a coincidence. It is the result of the coordinated work and skill of our men,” he says.

It is worth mentioning that the Ka-52 “Alligator” is a combat helicopter with a capacity of two people. It can reach speeds of up to 310 km/h, has a range of up to 550 km and operates at altitudes of up to 5.5 km.

Its armament includes a 30 mm cannon, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), unguided rockets, Igla-V missiles and light weapons. The cost of the device is between 16 and 25 million dollars.
