Mainz – The polling stations in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate closed on Sunday. And the first forecast from the elections research group shows success for CDU candidate Gordon Schnieder, who was able to clearly leave his SPD competitor and previous Prime Minister Alexander Schweitzer behind.
