Jair Bolsonaro is stable and has no fever, says medical bulletin – 03/22/2026 – Brasília Hoje

The former president (), arrested after the 2022 elections, spent the last 24 hours uneventfully, stable and without fever, in the hospital where he is admitted in (DF), according to a medical bulletin released this Sunday (22).

“[Ele] continues with intravenous antibiotic therapy, intensive clinical support and respiratory and motor physiotherapy. At the moment, there is no forecast for hospital discharge”, says the document.

The former president is admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for “treatment of bilateral bacterial pneumonia resulting from an episode of bronchoaspiration”.

Bolsonaro was admitted to the ICU on Friday (13). In addition to administering medication, he is undergoing motor and respiratory physiotherapy.

The medical team accompanying Bolsonaro in Papudinha produced a report on Thursday (12), the day before his hospitalization, stating that the former president was in a regular state of health. The report points out, however, that he had a bout of hiccups during the night.

At 6:45 am on Friday, Bolsonaro called the middle team and reported nausea and tremors during the early hours of the morning. The team then decided to immediately transfer to DF Star. The former president arrived at the hospital with nasal oxygen support and underwent tomography and laboratory tests. There, bronchopneumonia was detected.

Last Saturday (21), he celebrated his 71st birthday and received visits from his children — the senator (PL-RJ) and Carlos Bolsonaro —, his wife (PL) and children.

A group of around 50 supporters held a service and sang happy birthday to the former president in front of the hospital in the afternoon.

This Sunday, on social media, the children once again showed support for their father. Flávio, for example, once again defended that he be granted house arrest.

Michelle, who celebrates her birthday this Sunday, celebrated the date in a series of posts.
