The senator began his first official tour of the Northeast as part of his pre-campaign for the Presidency of the Republic. The agenda, which began in the capitals João Pessoa (PB) and Natal (RN), seeks to bring the parliamentarian closer to a region that is historically considered the main electoral stronghold of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
In João Pessoa, the eldest son of former president Jair Bolsonaro adopted a symbolic stance, wearing a t-shirt with the phrase “Northeast is the solution”. In the capital of Paraíba, he was received by influential figures from the right and center, such as the leader of União Brasil in the Senate, Efraim Filho, and the leader of the opposition in the Chamber, deputy Cabo Gilberto (PL).
Digital Repercussion
Flávio’s visit to Paraíba went viral after the senator published a video on X (formerly Twitter) where he appears dancing for supporters. The moment divided internet users: while some critics called for “proposals instead of dances”, others took advantage of the regional tone to joke, comparing the senator’s movements to those of a “mamulengo”, a traditional puppet doll from northeastern culture.

Tone Change
Unlike the more combative style he usually adopts in Rio de Janeiro or in Congress, Flávio Bolsonaro used a more moderate speech during his visits. The presidential candidate spoke about the need to “break the chains of backwardness” in the region and sought to focus on development issues, trying to reduce resistance to his name among the northeastern electorate.
The trip continues as a thermometer for the PL to assess the acceptance of Flávio’s image as his father’s political successor in the Northeast, aiming to build a solid foundation for the presidential election.
