A wolf was spotted on the D1 highway behind the Bôrik tunnel in the direction of Prešov on Monday in the vicinity of the Sosna rest area. The Regional Directorate of the Police Force (KR PZ) in Prešov informed about this on the social network, saying that the traffic patrol is monitoring the situation.
“There is already a traffic patrol of KR PZ Prešov on the spot. The animal is uninjured, but currently unable to get outside the fence. The emergency team of the Tatra National Park Administration is on its way to the site“, the police said, and in this context they ask drivers to be more careful when driving through the given section.
