Defense Minister Pedro Sánchez reported that the Hercules-type aircraft crashed in Puerto Leguízamo, near the border with Ecuador.

The Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez, reported that the Hercules-type plane, from the Colombian Air Force, crashed in Puerto Leguízamonear the border with Ecuador.
“With deep regret I inform you that a Hercules plane from our @FuerzaAereaCol suffered a tragic accident while taking off from Puerto Leguízamo (Putumayo), while transporting troops from our Public Force,” wrote Sánchez in X.

Rescue teams are already operating in the area and have managed to evacuate several survivors, while search efforts continue.
