The party’s bench calls for the senator’s suspicion and questions the commission’s conduct in investigating Social Security fraud
The PT bench in the Chamber of Deputies filed this Tuesday (24 March 2026) a request to remove the senator (Podemos-MG) from the presidency of the CPMI (Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the INSS. The document, addressed to the presidency of the National Congress, calls for the senator to be suspected of “conflict of interest”.
The party claims that Viana lost the ability to preside over the commission after his name was linked to that of former banker Daniel Vorcaro, in the investigation into the Banco Master case. Read (PDF- 426 kB).

The decision is based on a petition presented by Correia and the deputy (Psol-RJ), who cite transfers of R$3.6 million to the entity through amendments.
According to congressmen, the amounts were distributed in 3 moments. In 2019, R$1.5 million was transferred to Belo Horizonte City Hall, destined for the foundation. In 2023, R$1.47 million was sent to the Capim Branco unit. In 2025, there was a payment of R$650.9 thousand to the same location.
For the authors, there is “possible misuse of purpose” in transfers. The Lagoinha Church is linked to , founder of Banco Master.
