Brussels – In the fight against the flood of small packages from online purchases from third countries, the EU is introducing a new processing fee. From November 1st, the new tax will apply to every product ordered online and imported into the EU and will be collected by national authorities. Negotiators from the European Parliament and the EU countries agreed on this on Thursday in Brussels, as both announced. The processing fee is in addition to planned new customs fees.
