On March 22, the Bratislava STARS auditorium belonged to the singer and composer Petr Cmorik. He celebrated his life and work jubilee with a concert entitled 20 years on stage. That evening he celebrated his 46th birthday and 20 years on the music scene. He invited well-known guests to the concert, including Zuzana Smatanová, Daniela Lovlin, Kuly, Peter Bič, Ondřej Brzobohatý and the Mucha Quartet.
The singer has compiled a playlist from the albums he has released over a whopping 20 years. Zuzana Smatanová sang the song What is coming will come and with it the song When You’re Gone. Cmorik’s wife, violinist Daniela Lovlin, joined her on stage in the compositions Kolonáda and Pripíjam. The guest from Prague Ondřej Brzobohatý sang together with the celebrant the song Wind a Kříž svoj neseme. Together with Peter Bič, they offered the song Spolu stastarnút and added the hit Perly. Kuly and Cmorik sang the song Nezlomní and Kuly himself as well as the Desmodov hit Vyrobená pre mena.
Cmorik invited a lot of friends, how did this idea come about? “It was actually the 20th anniversary of how I started this dizzying career and so we thought that it should be celebrated and celebrated somehow spectacularly. So we thought that we were going to do a concert. We made it a little special. Of course, during those 20 years, many collaborations, many duets, many friendships between musicians were created,” zoomed in Koktejlu.sk with musician Teri Čikoš.
The evening was not only interesting with music. There was even an engagement during the MEGA concert! As Cmorik prepared a duet with his beloved wife, he mentioned that he had written it for her even before he proposed to her. So he declared that if there is someone in the audience who wants to propose to their partner, then the time has come. It didn’t take long for one man to actually do it! His reward was an enthusiastic yes from his girlfriend, with whom they fell into each other’s arms to the applause of everyone around.
