The suspect of stabbing his own wife voluntarily presented himself to the police after the crime that shocked residents of . The case, registered on Thursday night (26), mobilized security teams and generated strong commotion in the city.
The victim, Francisca das Chagas Gomes de França, was attacked inside her home, in the Avelino Leal neighborhood. According to initial information, she suffered stab wounds to the chest area, leaving her in serious condition shortly after the attack.
After the attack, the man fled the scene, which led the Military Police to begin searching the region. During the investigation, the weapon used, a fish knife, was found in the backyard of the residence and seized.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) provided first aid while still on site. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim had to be transferred to Cruzeiro do Sul, where he remains under specialized medical care.
On Friday morning (27), the suspect attended the Tarauacá Civil Police Station on his own. According to reports, he was nervous and said he feared for his safety. The man remains at the disposal of Justice.
