Igor Thiago calls for aggressiveness from the Seleção: “We shouldn’t fear anyone”

A Brazilian team has been under suspicious eyes since the defeat to France2-1, last Thursday (26). Debutant in this call, Igor Thiagodo Brentfordanalyzed what the attitude should be towards Croatia, the last Brazilian tormentor in World Cups.

“We need to be more aggressive, trust ourselves more. We need to explore this aggressive side, to impose ourselves too, because our shirt is gigantic”, he assessed.

Drawing a parallel with the team’s performance against Les Bleus – at the beginning of the second half, with one more, Brazil was better, but failed to reach the goal, the center forward stated that the team should not fear any opponent.

“I think the second half showed more of this side of us, that we shouldn’t fear anyone, the people who should fear us”, he concluded.

Igor Thiago is a sensation in England

The call to serve the national team came in the middle of his great season in the Premier League. In the current season, he has already scored 19 goals in the 31 games in which he has been on the field and contributed one assist, and is behind only Erling Haaland in the tournament’s top scorer.

Revealed by Cruzeiro, Igor defended the team in 64 matches, between 2020 and 2022, with 10 goals scored. Afterwards, he played for Ludogorets Razgrad, from Bulgaria, Club Brugge, from Belgium, until arriving at the English club.

Selection trains without Vini Jr

The attacker Vinicius Junior did not participate in training Brazilian team this Saturday (28), in Orlando, in the United States. The ace of Real Madrid was seen walking with difficulty during the first day of preparation for the duel against Croatia, scheduled for Tuesday (31), at 9 pm (Brasília time).

The striker, who wore the number 10 shirt in the last game, felt pain in his thigh, due to physical exhaustion. However, tests did not detect any injury. THE Itatiaia found that, despite his absence this Saturday, Vini Jr. should normally participate in training this Sunday (29).

Marquinhos, who had been left out of the clash against France, and Vitor Reis, called up after the match, also joined the group.
