Geraldo, husband by Gisele, it’s arrested for soldier’s death. She was murderedon the morning of February 18, with a shot to the head, in the apartment where he lived in the Brás neighborhood, in the central region of São Paulo.
In the document, family members state the need for a rigorous and transparent investigation of feminicide. The case was initially treated as a suicide, but was ruled out after forensic examination.
The lieutenant colonel is accused of having murdered his wife and tampering with the crime scene, compromising the investigation. The family reinforces their indignation at the fact that Geraldo still maintains his rank, pointing out “abuse of power and conduct incompatible with the principles of the Military Police, such as honor, discipline, respect for life and responsibility”.
They even add undersigned:
“No uniform can serve as a shield for abusive conduct. On the contrary, it must represent protection, example and commitment to the law.
Given the seriousness of the case, we came, through our voice, to ask for the expulsion of Lieutenant Colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto, we defend that there be a rigorous investigation and based on everything that already appears in the process, we ask for the application of the maximum sanction: the loss of rank and rank.
This is not a call for early judgment, but for justice, responsibility and respect.”

Possible expulsion of lieutenant colonel
The Military Police opened a process to expel Lieutenant Colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto from the corporation, as well as military police officer Gisele Alves Santana. The information was confirmed to CNN Brazil by the Secretary of Public Security of São Paulo, Osvaldo Nico, on Friday morning (27).
According to the secretary, the process runs in parallel with the investigations. Furthermore, he states that even if Geraldo is not yet convicted, he may be expelled from the Military Police.
Still according to Nico, the expulsion process is judged by a commission and guarantees the right to full defense and contradictory, which can make it time consuming. Another highlighted point is that, if the lieutenant colonel is acquitted in court due to “non-existence of the fact” or “denial of authorship”, the PM may be obliged not to expel him from the corporation.
According to the secretary, at the moment, he had his salary cut.
Remember the case
Military police officer Gisele Alves Santana, aged 32, was found dead on the morning of February 18, in the apartment where she lived in the Brás neighborhood, in the central region of São Paulo. Initially, the case was investigated as a suicide but came to be seen as a suspicious death.
The investigation into soldier Gisele’s death was changed from suicide to femicide due to a series of inconsistencies at the crime scene, physical violence and the history of an abusive relationship with her husband, the lieutenant colonel.
The main evidence that motivated this change includes: marks of aggression, shooting dynamics, state of the victim’s blood, temporal gap, absence of cartridge and position of the weapon.
The suspect’s attitude and conduct caught the attention of a firefighter, who was surprised by the fact that the gun was “well fitted” in the victim’s hand, with the finger off the trigger and without signs of spasm or cadaveric stiffness, making it “very easy” to remove.
Camera images and statements confirmed that the lieutenant colonel took a shower and changed his clothes shortly after the crime, ignoring instructions to preserve traces, such as the residual examination on his hands.
A witness stated that, hours after the crime, three military police officers went to the apartment to clean the property.
Witnesses reported that Geraldo did not appear desperate, his body was dry and he did not attempt to provide first aid to his wife.
Based on these elements, Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto was preventively arrested for feminicide and procedural fraud.
