One of the suspects involved in the murder of digital influencer Douglas Bispo Silva21 years old, known on social media as “Bambety de Serrinha”, was arrested red-handed this Tuesday (31) in Serrinha, in the interior of Bahia.
Douglas was shot dead in the early hours of last Sunday (29), as he left a party like “wall” in the village of Alto da Bandeira, in the rural area of the municipality. In the same episode, a 24-year-old man was also shot and remains hospitalized.
The suspect was located in a property in the region after investigative surveys and monitoring carried out by PCBA (Bahia Civil Police). At the scene, agents found portions of crack, cocaine and marijuana, as well as precision scales, which characterizes the practice of drug trafficking, according to police information.
According to the investigation, the man had indirect participation in violent crimesproviding the weapon used in the attacks. The police also identified that the group under investigation used strategies to hide narcotics, including burying drugs, a practice confirmed during investigations.
Continuing the operation, the police carried out searches in another property identified as a drug storage point, where more portions of drugs were seized. In total, 40 portions and two and a half tablets of marijuana, half a tablet of cocaine, 23 portions of crack, seven portions of cocaine were collected, as well as a container with more drugs and three scales.
The suspect was taken to the Serrinha Territorial Police Station, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department. The action had the support of the Technical and Tactical Investigation Support Group and the Intelligence Center of the 15th Regional Police Coordination of the Interior.
Douglas Bispo Silva had around 40 thousand followers on social media and was known in the region for his work as a digital influencer. His death caused local repercussions, with messages of condolence from friends and followers.
The case remains under investigation by the 1st Territorial Police Station of Serrinha.
